AJYD is looking for a Japan-based volunteer to join the Communications Team, helping to create new content and translate existing content into Japanese.
The Australia-Japan Youth Dialogue (AJYD) is a non-partisan, non-profit initiative bringing young Australians and Japanese together to map the future and work towards a stronger bilateral relationship. Our primary goal each year is to hold a dialogue wherein ten representatives each from Australia and Japan can meet to network with key individuals in the relationship, participate in panel discussions and workshops, and build valuable person-to-person relationships.
AJYD is split into four teams: Communications, Alumni, Sponsorship and Partnerships. The Communications team manages the AJYD’s regular communication channels including social media, email and our website. The Alumni team manages our relationships with former delegates. The Sponsorship team seeks out funding avenues with new and existing sponsors. And the Partnerships team works to strengthen existing relationships and form new ones by co-hosting events and related activities.
You will work within the Communications team to develop Japanese-language content for the AJYD website, newsletter, social media, and other publications. You will translate existing content from English to Japanese, as well as develop brand new content in Japanese, in order to expand AJYD’s profile in Japan and grow our network of Japan-based delegates and partners.
Please note: This is a volunteer position for up to 12 months. The candidate should expect to spend around 3-5 hours per week working in this role.
To apply, please send a copy of your CV and a brief statement on why you are interested in joining AJYD to firstname.lastname@example.org.
