The AJYD Organising Committee is pleased to confirm that the Australia-Japan Foundation in the Australia Government's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) will continue their support for the Australia-Japan Youth Dialogue, rejoining as an Establishment Partner for our second event in Tokyo next month.

The Department, alongside other arms of the Australian government, manages Australia’s strategic and trade relationships with foreign countries. DFAT also work to provide assistance to Australians in Japan, and oversee a multitude of programs aimed at strengthening people-to-people relationships between the two countries.

DFAT maintain that ‘the Australia-Japan partnership is our closest and most mature in Asia, and is fundamentally important to both countries’ strategic and economic interests.’
