The AJYD Organising Committee is proud to announce that the Australian Strategic Policy Institute has come on board as a Major Partner for the inaugural Australia–Japan Youth Dialogue.

Executive Director Peter Jennings PSM said that the Institute’s support for the Australia–Japan Youth Dialogue was 'an extension of ASPI’s commitment to fostering the next generation of strategic policy thinkers.’ Mr Jennings recognised the Dialogue as ‘a bold new initiative to identify and invest in future Australian and Japanese leaders,’ and an annual event that has ‘the potential to contribute positively to one of Australia’s most important bilateral relationships.’

The Australian Strategic Policy Institute is an independent, non-partisan think tank that produces expert and timely advice for Australia’s strategic and defence leaders. The Institute is one of the most authoritative and widely quoted contributors to public discussion of strategic policy issues in Australia and a recognised and authoritative Australian voice in international discussion of strategic issues, especially in the Asia-Pacific.

Established by the Australian government in 2001, ASPI aims to be innovative, accurate and well-informed and to broaden public knowledge about the critical strategic choices Australia will face over the coming years. The Institute’s work helps to foster strategic expertise in Australia through dialogue, research and its contribution to public debate.
